OVERVIEW
Ford tasked my team with overhauling the Ford Social platform to create a vibrant, photo-centric space where users could share ideas, stories, photos, and videos. The challenge was to replace the outdated, inconsistent design with a modern, mobile-first experience aligned with Ford’s global branding.
MY ROLE
As the Lead Designer, I directed the end-to-end redesign process, from creating user flows to defining the platform’s look and feel. I designed all key screens, including login, sharing features, and interactive elements, while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure brand alignment.
THE PROBLEM
The original platform featured dark, low-resolution visuals, a clunky layout, and a lack of consistency with Ford’s branding. These issues resulted in poor usability and limited engagement.
THE SOLUTION
We transformed Ford Social with bold visuals, intuitive sharing tools, and seamless interactions. The mobile-first design prioritized user-generated content while integrating Ford’s branding at every level, creating a fresh, cohesive experience.
IMPACT
The redesigned Ford Social became a dynamic platform that reflected Ford’s modern identity and significantly enhanced user engagement.
